I just went to the Southeastern Showhouse in Atlanta this past weekend and let me tell you, it was fabulous. There were so many interior design, art and styling ideas that I was almost hyperventilating going from room to room. This is my thing; going to showhouses and model homes and even open houses. I just love design and get so much inspiration from them.

It’s Week #7 of the One Room Challenge! If you haven’t been following along, this challenge was created by LInda Weinstein in 2011 and she had the idea to get some of her online friends together and challenge themselves to focus on finishing one room from start to finish. The challenge is 8 weeks long, so the great reveal is next week.

As you know, Oversized Art can be so expensive and even if you can get your hands on a large inexpensive piece of art, the framing would bankrupt you. So, for those of you who wait until the last minute to buy a Mother’s Day gift, like me, we all have to give Amazon their props. If you have Amazon Prime, you can literally wait until the last minute, or at least two or three days before to purchase and get it in time. I have curated a list of gifts that encompass all price points and very diverse categories.

Mother’s Day is almost here. Yippee!! I always like to get an early start to finding a gift for my own Mom and these gift guides give me so many ideas. Does it seem like the older your Mom gets, the harder it is to find something that she doesn’t already have?  Every year I rack my brain.

The one thing I don’t look forward to every year is Spring Cleaning. I capitalized it, because it’s definitely a “thing”. My mother made it so when I was a little girl and it’s ingrained into me. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the freshness in the air, the warmer weather and all of the outdoor activities, but the pollen is killing me and I never feel up to all of the Spring Cleaning that needs to be done. My Allegra has seemed to stop working so I will have to find something else to combat my itchy eyes, stuffy nose and dry throat.

It’s Week 3 of the One Room Challenge Spring 2024 and I am fully immersed in the process and getting all my ducks in a row. The One Room Challenge is an eight week challenge where designers and decorators are invited to pick one room in their home and renovate or redecorate it in an eight week span. We post on the ORC website every week and you can follow along with your favorites. Obviously, I hope you follow me on my journey.
