I love a good antique, thrift, vintage or flea market and by any other name it’s still a treasure trove of goodies for all.The history behind everything is what gets me. It reminds me of being a child and following my parents around to thrift on the weekends. I also love a good yard sale too and have thrown many yard sales myself.

If you’re like me and you love thrifting and vintage shopping, raise your hand? I have two hands up because I love it that much. There’s something about seeing a piece of furniture, a collectible, or what might be considered “junk” from another era. It makes my heart go pitter-patter. Since Spring has sprung, with the weather warming up, it’s time to head out to some of the outdoor/indoor markets around the country. Seriously, several of these have been on my bucket list for the longest and some I hadn’t even heard of but I now want to go.

Let’s talk about Mother’s Day, shall we? That one glorious Sunday when the women who raised us, fed us, wiped our tears, signed our permission slips, and somehow didn’t leave us at a rest stop even once (honestly, a miracle) get the recognition they actually deserve. And by “recognition,” I do not mean a last-minute card from the grocery store and some panic flowers that are already half-wilted.

Welcome back to Part 2 of our colorful descent into madness—or as Pinterest politely calls it, Primary Play. In Pops of Color Part 1, we dipped our toes into the trend by giving your home a bold, unapologetic facelift via exterior color, painted doors, stairways, surprise color inside and furniture that no longer whispers but sings in full-on Crayola chorus.

“Adulting is overrated” and apparently, Pinterest agrees. Their 2025 trend report basically screams, “Let your inner child loose with a Crayola box and a paintbrush.” Enter: Primary Play—a bold, unapologetically fun design trend where your house becomes your canvas and your furniture and accessories get a facelift. And not to be left behind, this design style also includes secondary colors like green, orange and purple. You can even throw in a hot pink. It’s taking these colors and “popping” them.

Spring is here, and you know what that means: pollen is everywhere, my head feels like it’s about to explode and if I rub my itchy eyes anymore, I’m not going to have any eyeballs. Maybe I should just get a yellow manicure so I can blend in. But I digress.

Ah, spring. That magical time of year when we collectively emerge from our winter gloom, blink at the sunshine like confused baby deer, and suddenly feel the urge to clean everything in sight. Flowers are popping up, the air smells fresh, and people everywhere are pretending they don’t still have a rogue Christmas decoration lurking in a corner somewhere.

Every once in a while, I stumble upon things that make me audibly gasp—like the internet just reached out, grabbed my soul, and whispered, “This is for you.” These finds aren’t always practical (or budget-friendly), but they fuel my creativity, get my wheels turning, and make me dream in high definition. I do a roundup of these items every month and bring them to you.

Ah, spring and summer—the seasons of sunshine, rosé, and the eternal struggle of looking effortlessly chic while sweating profusely. Lucky for us, fashion’s latest trends are here to either elevate our wardrobes or make us question every life choice. This year, the style gods have spoken, and the holy trinity of Sheer, The Color White, and Fringe reigns supreme.
