Target has been so good for several years now. It’s not the Target of my childhood which was much more in line with Walmart. They’ve made so many strides forward in fashion and especially in design. In pairing up with famous designers for capsule collections to carrying whole lines of products from “of the moment” tastemakers, Target has really come into its own and I can honestly say they’re in a lane all their own.
My three favorite home lines are Opalhouse with Justina Blakeney, Hearth & Hand with Magnolia and Threshold with McGhee & Co. They each have their own distinct point of view and between the three of them, people can find something in line with their own decor style or can even mix and match to come up with a totally different style.
Opalhouse with Jungalow
Bow down to the Queen. I just love Justina Blakeney, don’t you? She almost single handedly ushered in the boho chic trend with lush plants, pastel colors and fringed pillow aesthetic. Even though I’m not exactly boho, I can appreciate her sensibility, use of textures and handmade items. And who was thinking about macrame before she started using it in her designs? I give her all the credit for making it accessible too.
Target has an exclusive line with her called Opalhouse if you didn’t already know. It’s colorful and funky just like her. I’ve listed just a few of my favorites. If you’re boho chic, this will be right up your alley.
This pillow is everything. The color and pattern is so cool. It would look so good on a bed or a couch.
I can totally get into this gold basket. The pattern, the wooden handles; you could put your fall pillows or blankets in here.
This comforter set is right on trend with its teal and black colors. I would definitely put the pillows on a chair or sofa to break the set up though.
I love a good pouf and this one comes in an easily cleanable beige faux leather. Poufs are so versatile and you can move them wherever you want for extra seating.
The blue jewel tone would pop against the dark and moody interiors that are in right now. I would definitely put this in a dark room with bright stems like maybe goldenrod or a rust colored branch.
Hearth & Hand with Magnolia
Raise your hand if you love Chip and Joanna. I’m holding my hand up right now. The Modern Farmhouse look wasn’t even a thing before they came on the scene. Joanna made a whole new trend or at least in my view she did. She somehow mixed industrial with farmhouse touches to come up with her own decor style that resonated with so many in this country.
So, I couldn’t do Fall Arrivals at Target without talking about Hearth & Hand. This was a natural progression for Joanna to come up with a line of accessible household items. Here are the ones that caught my eye for Fall.
Cutting boards are so good, and this one has feet? I’m down. Use it for display or for actual charcuterie.
The colorway is what made me put this on the list. The charcoal, cream and beige is unusual and the stripe pattern is modern.
Now you’ll need a blanket ladder to put all of your cozy blankets on. Twoodhis is a mix of black iron and wood, which is a signature of Magnolia design.
I have a blog post on Mug Love here. So you know how much I love mugs and this holder reminds me of the old school mug stands I saw as a child. Love.
I love this color and you usually only see it in leather. This task lamp is metal, which is very modern to me. This Fall color would fit right in with all of your decor.
Threshold with Studio McGee
I’ve been following Shea and Syd McGee for a few years now and their show Dream Home Makeover on Netflix is one of my favorite design shows. Against the beautiful mountainous backdrop of Utah, she takes us on a journey of her design process with every client. Her transitional style (contemporary & traditional) takes it up a notch every time. Even though she mostly works in neutrals and muted tones, it’s never boring. When she’s finished designing your home, it feels like a warm hug.
This cement-like side table is so cool and surprising coming from Studio McGee. I definitely dig it.
Green is my favorite color so I definitely am feeling this marble bowl. It would look so good on an entryway console table or on a bookcase shelf.
I love this caramel color and trays are so useful around the house. For keys, remotes, candles, etc.
The pop of chartreuse in the piping is what did it for me. Cubes are like stools and poufs for me; so versatile and easy to move around.
A two-headed floor lamp? Sign me up. I feel like Shea is getting edgier and I’m here for it.
Well, that wraps up my favorite lines at Target and what they have going on for Fall. What are some of your favorites if you don’t see them on my list?
Let me know in the comments.
