I went to the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine Showhouse in the Serenbe community just South of Atlanta. As usual it was a fun trip and the countryside was gorgeous with the leaves changing. There were two townhouses this year and I wrote about the first townhouse in my previous post here.
This second townhouse was the best one in my opinion. It was more of my style which is basically Modern Organic. This is a mixture of mid-century modern, minimalism and a little boho. I love organic textures and rustic elements and adding vintage touches keeps a room soulful.
When I first entered, the beams and the light fixture caught my attention. Just lovely.
This little nook in the kitchen was just inside the front door.
On the right was a little space which was called the “Zen Room”. You could hear the trickling water from a corner fountain and it was very relaxing. The light fixture was cool and coupled with the other chandelier, the lighting situation so far was on point.
To the left was a guest bedroom but they had it staged like a little den. Very bright with lots of wood touches.
Again, the lighting was the bomb.
The bathroom for the guest bedroom was very nice with gold fixtures and I loved the striped shower curtain.
Sometimes laundry rooms don’t get a lot of love, but this one was done all the way up.
This laundry room was very dramatic as you walked into it. From the wood walls, to the tile backsplash and the tile on the floor, I loved everything about this room.
This living room was so me, it almost gave me heart palpitations. The light fixture was everything, the shaggy side chair. It was swoon-worthy.
A closer look at this chair. This was such a dream.
This room totally makes the case for neutral colors not being boring. Love the oversize pillows and the tufted ottoman under the coffee table..
A look back at the dining room with the art hanging over the window and it works.
The upstairs terrace was lovely.
Lots of plants and an old world feeling.
The Primary Bedroom was nice, but we couldn’t decide if we liked the oversized chandelier or not. At the end, the consensus was that it was way too big for the space. What do you think?
This striking piece of artwork was over the dresser across from the bed.
The Primary Bath had gold mirrors and sconces. I loved it.
Downstairs was certainly a wow moment with this bar. Another swoon-worthy moment. Can’t say enough about it.
This bar was so nice, I had to get a close up shot at this vignette.
This lounge in front of the bar is perfect to just sit, have a drink and relax.
Another living room downstairs. This was truly an entertainer’s house. There were so many places for people to congregate.
The downstairs Terrace was another lovely place to hang out and the views were so pretty.
The designer had me at “green” in this downstairs bedroom. That’s my favorite color and he wrapped it onto the ceiling to which made it so cozy. I loved this more than the Primary Bedroom upstairs.
All the little details were fabulous.
Another touch that I love. It looks like somebody was really just painting in here.
Such a great bathroom for this ensuite. I would be just as happy if not not more staying downstairs.
As you can tell, I loved this townhouse more than the last one. It was a personal preference as both of them were wonderful and I always get so many good ideas for my own projects. This was new for Serenbe not having a single family home as a Showhouse, but we did get two for the price of one.
Let me know if going to Showhouses is your thing like it is mine.
Until next time, see ya.
