The Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles 2023 Serenbe Showhouse – Part 1

Home Styling, Interior Design

On a gorgeous Fall day, I took my annual trip to see the Serenbe Showhouse. It’s about 45 minutes from my house and it was a nice drive in the country once I got off the highway. This year they did something a little different. Instead of a single family home, they took two side by side townhouses and enlisted the help of several interior designers to decorate each one. If you didn’t see the one last year, here’s the blog post. Since I had twice the amount of photographs, I decided to break up the post into two parts. This will be Part 1.

Serenbe is a planned wellness community located just miles south of the Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport. This was the brainchild of Steve Nygren who had previously developed a bed and breakfast in the area. “Each of Serenbe’s hamlets have complementary commercial centers focused on the elements of a well-lived life: arts for inspiration, agriculture for nourishment, health for wellbeing, play for a joy-filled life, and education for awareness.” If you would like more information, please check out their website.

This kitchen was fabulous. The trend of moving away from an all white kitchen was definitely in evidence with these mid tone cabinets and veiny honed quartz countertops. The styling was excellent too. I love it when they make it seem like someone was working in the kitchen and just left the room.

On the opposite side of the kitchen was this shelving unit that was styled to within an inch of its life. It also housed a wine cabinet and ice maker below. I can also see turning this into a coffee bar.

To the left was a lovely laundry room. It wasn’t huge, but it had everything you would need.

There was enough room to have side by side appliances.

The powder room was very dramatic with the black shiplap and the oversize marble sink.

The guest bedroom was light and airy and I loved the board and batten wall.

This guest bathroom goes along nicely with the guest bedroom.

Out in the main space again, the dining room has banquette seating, which if you’ve been reading my blog, you know is my favorite style of seating. I even just wrote a blog post about it here.

The living room had a unique layout with four oversized chairs. I like this layout as long as there’s somewhere else in the house with a comfy sofa. This would be even better if they swiveled, but alas, I tried them and they didn’t.

The Primary Bedroom was very dramatic and the artwork caught your eye as soon as you entered the room.

I loved the Primary Bath. It had a very Zen feeling and made you want to immediately relax.

The stand alone tub, the marble and the touches of wood gave it a very Modern Organic look, which as you know is my jam.

Going downstairs, I saw a second terrace. Very relaxing with beautiful views. There was a representative from a screen company

and the screens are worked by remote and automatically go up and down. We definitely need these because the mosquitoes in Atlanta are no joke.

I love this downstairs bedroom and the curvy headboard. The color scheme is right on trend with the deep red.

This wallpaper is kind of wild but it ultimately worked as the bathroom for the downstairs bedroom.

Another view of the bathroom. I loved the two different tiles in the tub enclosure.

All in all, Showhouse #1 was lovely enough, but stay tuned for Showhouse #2. That was the one that really knocked my socks off. I have to run, but let me know in the comments if you’ve been to any of the Serenbe showhouses and what you think about the community overall.

See ya.
