Not long ago, I bought two AncestryDNA tests for me and my Mom for our birthdays and to my surprise I am 7% Irish. I know, right? Who would have thunk it. My Mom didn’t have any Irish ancestry so I guess it comes from Dad, which makes sense because his grandmother was British. Truth be told, I am literally what people call a “mutt”. But I digress. I am totally going to lean into my Irish ancestry and come up with a killer St. Patrick’s Day party in my mind because I don’t think I’m up to having an actual party.
In my head, this was a really killer party. I hope you think so too.
Outdoor Decor
You don’t have to have outdoor decor, but why not? Start outside with this double sided flag for your lawn.
St. Patrick’s Day Double-Sided Flag
For some reason the stand does not come with the flag, but I think it’s a good investment so you can have a flag for every holiday.
A wreath with lit up clovers? Did we even know we needed this?

Guest Party Favors
As soon as your guests come in the door, get the party started. I would put all of these in a bowl and let them take what they want to get them in a festive mood. Start off with these glitter glasses.

Clover necklaces add a fun touch.
Shot glass necklaces are a must. I would have a bottle of Irish Whiskey ready as soon as they put one of these on.
Headgear is a must also. Here’s one for the ladies.
You can never go wrong with leprechaun hats.
Party Decor
Start off with one of these portable tables with a handle. I have one of these that I usually use for a craft table, but I’ve also used it for a party table too. It’s a really good investment.
Add a fun tablecloth like this. It comes in a 3pk, so you can have multiple tables.
Plates and napkins for the table.
Glitter plasticware for the win.
Beer cups for drinking and pong, right?
You can use these mugs for the end of night. Does anybody want Irish Coffee?
A pot of gold for decoration.
Here are the gold coins you need.
This 3pk can go a long way. You can put them in multiple doorways or use them in one doorway if you want your decor to be a surprise!
It’s always a good idea to get a party kit. It’s inexpensive and it just fills in the space.
You gotta ask yourself. Do you feel Lucky? Haha
Throw this garland up on your mantle, your stairwell or anywhere you want a focal point. You could even drape it high on a wall for a place to take pictures.
I added these because they glow in the dark. So much fun!
Host with the Most
Now that you have all of the decorations together, get dressed and have as much fun as you can with it. Have a special costume/outfit for the host or hosts. It might be fun to go in with some friends to throw the party. These groovy clover sunglasses are so cute.
A fancy headband would make a great statement for the hostess.
Manly yes, but I like it too. I can’t get enough of these Irish puns. Leprechauns hats for everybody.
This long sleeve shirt is perfect for the host.
St. Patrick’s Long Sleeve Shirt
Here are different clover shirts that would be cute if you are going in with other people. You could each wear a different one.
Multi-Pattern Long-Sleeve Shirts
This is definitely on my wish list because I’m just a wee bit Irish.
Finish off your outfit with these press on nails.

If your other half is of the male persuasion, he might think he’s too cool to dress up but this Guinness t-shirt might change his mind.
If he’s game, have him put on this funny t-shirt.
Goodies
I always have goodie bags for my guests when they leave. It’s almost mandatory. It makes them feel special and it doesn’t have to really be a lot of stuff, just a lil somethin somethin. Get these cute bags below, add some goodies and you’re good.
Green and gold kisses are a tasty treat to add to the bag.
If you want to stick to all green kisses, here’s an option for you.
How cute are these clover lollipops?
I’m partial to any candy that’s sweet and sour, so these green apple candies would be my top choice.
Last, but not least, you have to have gold chocolate coins.
Going the Extra Mile
If you want to be “extra”, here are a couple of items that would just round out the decorations in your house. Check out this clover throw that would look so good on a sofa.
Buy some green pillow covers for your existing pillows to round out your sofa decor.
So, I think the party in my head is going well but you’re probably wondering “what about the food and beverages”? Well, of course for drinks you should have plenty of Guinness Stout and a good Irish beer like Killian’s on deck. Next, you need a good Irish Whiskey like Bushmills or Jameson. Use the whiskey as a shot when the guests come to the front door and also in the Irish coffee (coffee, whiskey, sugar cube and whipped cream) before they leave.
For the food, I am not one to get too complicated. You could make a crudite plate with all green vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, celery, snap peas and zucchini, etc. Any dip would be good or you could get several dips and even hummus.
Next, I would do a charcuterie board because I love them and you can get really creative in your design. Check out the one below and if you need some more ideas, click on the link below the picture.

If you want to get a cake, I recommend Publix. They make great cakes and their buttercream is not too sweet. Also, please take the time to make a great playlist on Spotify. Slow grooves in the beginning, mid-tempo in the middle of the party and jams at the end.
Well, this party in my head was jamming and I can’t wait to throw the next party in my head. Or maybe I should have a real party right?
Let me know in the comments if you liked my party and I’ll see ya next time.
