There’s still time for one more summer vacation or maybe a couple more mini vacations don’t you think? I’ve been thinking a lot about sneaking in a couple of trips before summer ends and what are the travel essentials that everyone needs to make every trip comfortable and with minimal stress. Because let’s face it, travel is stressful so why not be super comfortable, cute and have some helpful accessories when you’re traveling. The following list of items is what I’d consider essential for anyone’s trip.
The Art of Packing
It’s no secret that the cost of airline baggage is getting ridiculous. Therefore, we must come up with different ways to pack our items to get the most out of the space in our luggage, particularly our carry-on. These packing cubes make packing more efficient so you can use up every inch of space.
The following containers come in a variety of colors and make carrying your skincare products easy and very stylish.
Luggage tags should be so different that it’s easy to spot your bags in baggage claim. The straps add another layer to identify them.
After you’ve packed your bags, use this weight calculator to make sure your bags are under 50 pounds.
The Airport Outfit
This is an art in itself lately. I’ve been seeing a lot of influencers showing how you could be comfortable and stylish at the airport. I have a few tips that have helped me when I travel.
These knit sets are the most comfortable and come in several colors. I wear them all of the time and they’re especially good at the airport because they’re not only stylish but it keeps you warm on the plane.
This set feels like you’re wearing pajamas and are just as comfortable.
When you’re going through security you want to wear shoes that you can slip in and out of.
So you don’t have to walk barefoot after sending your shoes through security, wear these see-through socks. The mere thought of walking on those nasty floors should make you run and order these.
Sometimes you get to the airport and you are fumbling around for your license or your passport.
I have one of these “passport” holders and it’s the most convenient for when you’re flying out of the country. You can not only keep your passport in there, but your driver’s license, credit cards, money, etc. Even when you land you can use this instead of a purse.
The Plane
The plane can be noisy, cold and uncomfortable. I have listed a few items that make it way more comfortable and make the time go by fast.
The air plugs will cancel out the noise and come in a variety of stylish colors.
If silence isn’t what you want, try these headphones so you can listen to some tunes.
The neck roll is mandatory to get some shut eye and it comes with ear plugs and an eye mask. Sweet.
To combat the cold dry air on the plane, please get one of these lovely shawls. It will keep you warm and cozy.
The Tech
Everyone needs tech on their vacation even if you’re not a tech person.
If you’re going to Europe or anywhere with European outlets, you will need this product.
I bought one of these when I went to Hong Kong and it literally saved my life.
Go Pros are necessary to get the best live action shots as well as videos. Take it with you when you’re zip-lining, surfing, hiking, snorkeling or any of the adventurous activities you’ll hopefully participate in.
Get one of these to keep your phone dry. I never knew I needed one.
The Vacation Outfits
Resort wear is a whole category in fashion and I’ve always wanted to have a cool girl wardrobe on my vacation.
This woven bag is big enough for all of the things you might need on a beach day, sightseeing or touring.
Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories and I can never resist a new pair. These aviators are Top Gun cool especially with the green lenses.
This black shift and sandals are so elegant for a dinner on an island in the Caribbean.
Kaftans are great not only as a cover-up over your bathing suit but also on it’s own.
Here’s a cute romper that can be accessorized many different ways.
This brown set comes in a cotton material that keeps you very cool. Matching sets are always good.
I’m sure there are many other essentials you could bring on vacation but these are my top ones and several of them I’ve already bought.
Let me know in the comments what you can’t do without and whether you’re going to try to sneak in another vacation to close the season out. I’m going to go to Nashville or Charleston; at least that’s the plan.
See ya next time.
