Ah, spring. That magical time of year when we collectively emerge from our winter gloom, blink at the sunshine like confused baby deer, and suddenly feel the urge to clean everything in sight. Flowers are popping up, the air smells fresh, and people everywhere are pretending they don’t still have a rogue Christmas decoration lurking in a corner somewhere.
And, of course, Easter is on its way, which means pastel colors are about to dominate our wardrobes, homes, and social media feeds. But let’s be honest—pastels and florals aren’t just for Easter Sunday. They’re here to breathe life into our spaces and wardrobes well beyond the holiday, and I, for one, am fully on board. So let’s talk about how to bring pastels and saturated floral hues into every aspect of our lives.
I’ve included pastels that are soft, sweet and surprisingly chic as well as saturated florals that are a little bold, bright and may not be for the faint of heart.
Furniture
Pastel furniture is the design equivalent of a deep breath—it’s soft, refreshing, and makes any space feel lighter. A powder-blue sofa? Instant sophistication. A pale lavender dresser? Dreamy and unexpected. A mint-green accent chair? Excuse me while I swoon. Pastel furniture is proof that color doesn’t have to be loud to make a statement. They are also design proof so every color goes together. Think of an Easter egg basket.
If pastels are the whisper of spring, saturated florals and bright floral colors are the joyful scream. A velvet couch covered in bold floral patterns? Absolutely. A dramatic floral headboard? Say no more. Flower-covered furniture is for those who believe life should be lived in full bloom and as the flowers are totally blooming right now, just look to nature to get the drift.
Such unexpected colors in this sofa below and I love it. Stripes are always in and this vintage sofa looks totally modern with the new upholstery.
This table is truly a work of art and would be the star of any room.
Minty fresh upholstery fabric on these vintage chairs? Yes.
I love poufs because there’s always extra seating for that party where the turn out is larger than you expected. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

Is it wrong that I love this table even though the base looks like a weapon? But the baby blue softens it up.
This fabric is both modern and old Art Deco. I love how the upholstery covers the arms and legs of the chair making it seamless.
Onyx is so beautiful and when the light passes through it, it’s just chef’s kiss. This pastel peach color is so dreamy too.
This company, Made in Design, lets you order these table legs in many different heights and colors. So you could make a table out of literally anything. And this mint color is one of my favorites. Good deal.
This Percival Lafer Brazilian sofa and ottoman from the 70’s gets an update with this buttery yellow upholstery.
Decor
Pastel throw pillows, rugs, and artwork? Yes, yes, and yes. It’s like sprinkling a little bit of joy into your home without committing to a full-blown Easter explosion. (Unless you want that, in which case, go for it. Live your pastel fantasy.)
Floral wallpaper is basically a love letter to spring. Whether it’s oversized vintage roses, a wild botanical print, or a dramatic dark floral moment, it transforms a space instantly. Add in floral-printed pillows, throws, or even a statement rug, and suddenly your home feels like a scene from a romantic European movie.
Pastel glass containers are pretty all grouped together like this.
Bold and striking, this irregularly shaped area rug gives all the Easter Egg colors a starring role. It’s kinda crazy, but cool at the same time.
Splash some neon pastels on a canvas, blend the colors and you get this sunset inspired piece of art. It’s just perfect.
Soft and muted colors for Spring are evident in these tiles by Claudia Lau and I love how they’re all different.

These icy blue glasses will make all your cocktails look spectacular.
Peach and pink are always a dynamic duo, especially on this fun sconce.
Spring is here in these wonderful abstract pieces of art. So bold and the only art you would need in a room.
When I saw this I had all kinds of ideas of what I could use these little tables for and where I could attach them.
Ceramics
Pastel mugs, plates, and vases are basically little moments of happiness disguised as home essentials. Hand-painted floral dishes? Stunning. A big, over-the-top floral teapot? A necessity. Ceramic vases covered in painted blooms? Give me fourteen of those.
A pale pink coffee cup just makes your morning coffee taste better—it’s science and I have a degree in it. Take a look at my Mug Love blog post if you feel the same.
All of these plates and bowls look just like Spring threw up all over them right?
Something about this color scheme just speaks to me. I love it so much.
A spotted pink pedestal bowl is just what the doctor ordered. But I think anything lifted up on the pedestal is special.
As green is my favorite color, these plates should be in my cupboard right now.
Here are the pink mugs I spoke of. Was I right or was I right?
Geometric tribal shapes make these plates special.

Coral is a great Spring color and this vessel/planter/vase with its abstract design, just makes me happy.
These sweet little planters look like a Jackson Pollock painting with the green splatters.
Interior Design
Now, how do you put it all together? Well, I’ll tell you.
Pastels in interior design are like a soft-focus filter for your home. Blush pink walls? Gorgeous. A sky-blue kitchen island? Obsessed. Pale sage green cabinets? Fresh and timeless. These shades create an instant feeling of calm while still making a statement.
Floral prints on upholstery, curtains, or even tile work? It’s a maximalist dream. Combine bold florals with vintage pieces, and suddenly your home feels like a fabulous European cottage where you sip tea and write poetry (or, let’s be real, binge-watch your latest TV obsession).
Knock them out at the entrance of your home with this pastel art work and soft brass accents.
This floral couch is not your Grandma’s floral couch. The white walls, ceiling, curtains and lighting makes it totally modern along with the round shape.
Butter yellow, which has been trending so hard, is perfect for this sectional sofa along with all the pastel accents. Doesn’t look girly at all.
Take that yellow scheme right into the bathroom with this handmade elegant tile. I would immediately cheer up every
time I entered this room.
I know gray is a dirty word around the design world right now, but there’s something so good about gray and pink. So do what you want and trends be damned.
I bet everybody looks gorgeous in this gorgeous room. This color makes the skin glow and when you dim the lights, I bet you feel extra sexy.
A peach kitchen? Who would think it could look so good.
Another room that gets its nuance from the different muted tones around the room. Add a bold painting and you’re done.
A lavender kitchen is new, but I like it. Add some bright artwork and accessories and you have a very modern take on an often overlooked color.

Fashion
Pastels
Pastel fashion can go one of two ways: elegant and refined, or full-blown “I am an Easter egg, hear me roar.” Either way, I support it. A baby blue trench coat? Sophisticated. A head-to-toe lavender suit? Iconic. A butter-yellow dress that makes you feel like you walked straight out of a ‘90s rom-com? Perfection. The pastel trend is in full effect and if you don’t believe me, take a look at this trend post I published:
Spring and Summer Fashion Trends – Pastels are all the Rage
I would totally wear these colorful rings on every finger like in this picture. Stunning handmade clay rings for the win.
Lavender again, but in these Dries van Noten shoes, it’s so sexy.
This outfit is so minty fresh. I don’t know if it’s because it reminds me of toothpaste or it’s just cool. Anyways, like OutKast said “so fresh and so clean clean”. Haha
Pastel shades are what we all need this Spring.

If I could still wear heels this high, I would definitely be slaying in these pink mesh sandals.
If you ever dreamed of being a flower, this is the dress for you. So delicate with the peach and orange petals. Back in the day I would seriously be channeling my Misty Copeland vibes.
Is it wrong that I want all of these bracelets?
Woven metallic pastel sandals with a cutout heel!!!!!! Who knew these even existed?
I just love this tone on tone look with the pastel blue skirt. So effortless and elegant.
Florals
Florals for spring? Groundbreaking, I say sarcastically. But seriously, floral prints this season are louder, brighter, more playful and even 3D. Think oversized flowers on maxi dresses, embroidered blooms on blouses, and even floral-patterned shoes that make you want to walk through a field of wildflowers.
Even though I’m not a girly girl and don’t usually gravitate towards florals, I’m really loving the way the floral pants are showing up this year. So sophisticated and modern like this pair.
These shorts are super cute also and the belt just makes the look.
This sweet little bag is just perfect.
Loewe always take a trend and makes it unique and special. I love how this flowy floral dress pairs with metallic loafers. So nonchalant.
Hand painted flowers on these Maison Margiela sunglasses? Yes please and I mean YES!
This bold floral halter dress from Ungaro just feels like vacation.
I can’t even discuss. Just look at that embroidery!
Doesn’t this dress make you want to lay down in a meadow like her?

A flowery pair of chandelier earrings lets you get into the trend without doing too much but it will definitely wake up a casual look.
Spring is all about renewal, so why not refresh your home and wardrobe with some pastels and florals? Whether you go soft and airy or bold and dramatic, these trends are the perfect way to bring a little bit of sunshine into your life. So go forth, embrace the Easter egg aesthetic, and let your love for florals bloom wildly.
See ya next time.
