Southeastern Showhouse 2024 – Upstairs – Part 2

Home Styling, Interior Design

Welcome to Part 2 of the Southeastern Showhouse. If you missed Part 1, you can check it out here. Like I said before, there were so many ideas and so much inspiration. This post is about the upstairs where there were kids and teenager rooms, a guest room, a den, a guest room and a bedroom for a young lady.

There was so much to look at and I hope you’ll find it as inspiring as I did.

Upstairs Landing

At the top of the stairs there was a piece of art made from tile and the balloons were made of fiberglass.

I leaned over the rail to capture the scale of the light fixture going down past the main floor.

At the other end of the hallway, there was an art installation made up of beakers with fresh flowers. Very pretty, but I can’t imagine having to replace all of that when they die. You could put dried flowers or faux florals in there and it would be equally beautiful.

Sophisticated Feminine Room

This room could be for a teenager girl or a college age girl. It was very feminine and lush.

The canopy over the bed was gorgeous.

This oversized painting of a ballerina was stunning in this room.

This bedroom had a bathroom attached with a moody large scale tile in the shower/bathtub surround. The picture on the wall is not practical in real life but it sure was pretty.

Teenage Masculine Bedroom

This room would be perfect for a teenage boy’s bedroom. With the different tones of brown and the platform bed, it looks like a cool kid’s bedroom.

The sitting room really makes this room seem like a bachelor pad.

This room also has a bathroom attached. What boy wouldn’t love this setup?

Kids’ Bedroom

This room was stunning. With a set of twin beds, it’s the perfect room for a set of siblings. Green is the predominant color and you all know how I love green. Sigh.

Here’s a shot of one of the beds with a toy basket at the end and modern art prints on the wall.

Here’s a shot of the other bed and a corner of the antique desk between. So sweet.

The Den

I call this the “Green Room”. The first thing I saw was a picture of my favorite artist of all time, Prince. They were also playing his music on a record player.

I had to get a close up of course.

This room was very comfy and cozy. I could totally see myself chilling out in here.

Guest Room

This was one of my favorite rooms because it had so much personality. The picture of the dogs belonged to the designer and it was his dogs. The whole room had a very English feel to it.

There was a sitting room attached with all sorts of knick knacks that made you want to stop and look at everything.

Here’s one of the vignettes in the sitting room. A bar that would be very fitting for an English gentleman or a woman like me. Haha.

I had to go back in the sitting room and take a picture of this little fox because I missed him the first time.

All in all, the upstairs was jam packed with some real goodies and it was surprising how many rooms there were. Like I said in Part 1, this house doesn’t really look that big from the outside, but when you get inside, there was so much room!

Let me know what was your favorite part in the comments and I’ll see ya next time.
