Southeastern Showhouse 2024 – Downstairs & Outdoors – Part 3

Home Styling, Interior Design, Lifestyle

Part 3 of the Southeastern Showhouse 2024 is going to cover the downstairs and the outdoor areas. If you missed Parts 1 and 2, you can catch them here at Southeastern Showhouse Part 1 for the main floor and the Southeastern Showhouse Part 2 for the upstairs.

I think out of all the showhouses I’ve been to, this downstairs in Part 3 was the most jam packed. There were several different areas and all sorts of nooks and crannies you could get lost in. I saw so many inspiring ideas for furniture, color and art especially in the downstairs rooms so I’ll start with what we found at the bottom of the stairs.

Bottom of the Stairs

The first thing I saw was this swinging teepee. I’m sure it was supposed to be for kids, but I would totally rock in it with a good book.

Right next to the teepee and underneath the stairs was the cutest dog area. Check out that picture of the dog with the glasses.

Living Room

The living room was a splash of all the colors with the most beautiful dark brown walls but there was so much light coming in that it didn’t feel dark at all.

The furry chair was everything and so comfortable.

Sitting Room

Off to the side there was a sort of lounge room with four chairs. I feel like you could have a great book club meeting in here or just drinks and conversation.

Here’s another angle of this very comfortable room. The chairs felt like camel hair.

Love these plant stands.

Bathroom and Sauna

Here’s the downstairs bathroom. Very spa-like.

And, surprise, there was a sauna!

Wet Bar Area

On the other side of the downstairs there was a wet bar which is always a good idea. Who wants to keep going upstairs to get drinks and/or snacks? Not me.

In front of the wet bar was this killer sitting area. I guess furry chairs are in, right? Maybe I’ll make a blog post about this trend.

Game Room

The pool table area’s focal point was the fabulous yellow felt table top.

Covered Patio

Moving out to the covered patio, this ping pong table was the most elegant ping pong table I’ve ever seen. I felt it and it seemed like it was cast in cement, but I’m sure it was something much lighter. But anyways, it was cool and the room being enveloped in these light blue curtains made it seem so fresh.

I’ve never learned how to play mahjong, but I think I would have to learn if I had this set up.

Outdoors

I was drawn to this table with the bright lemons. The grass was actually artificial turf, but it looked so real.

At the back portion of the backyard, there was such a pretty sitting area.

The pool was just big enough. Not overwhelming like many pools. At first I thought that grass wasn’t a good surround because it could get in the pool, but once we learned it was turf, it all made sense for the aesthetics.

Here’s another view of the pool nestled right up against the woods.

This was a great showhouse, and I can’t wait until the next one which will Serenbe in September. I hope you stay tuned because I really love showing you these wonderful houses.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

See ya next time.
