The Haven Conference for Content Creators
I just attended the 2023 Haven Conference in Atlanta and it was fabulous. It is a conference for creators in the DIY, Home Decor and Lifestyle Industry. They are also committed to providing a safe space for a diverse and equitable community. It’s even in their Mission Statement.

Checkerboard is Definitely a Thing
I thought I didn’t like checkerboard or rather it wasn’t a pattern I thought of when getting inspiration for interior design or decor. I always saw checkerboard as only being black and white and on floors and for me personally that was too stark. I’m not really a high contrast person, but as I was looking through Pinterest, I kept seeing checkerboard in different colors and different applications and I thought, hey, this could be interesting.
Designer & Diy’er pumped up on caffeine and willing to create anything. I want to let women know they can do it and if they don’t want to, I will.
