I’m so excited that it’s Leo Season. My family and friends are filled with Leos, so we get really hyped up during this time. I wouldn’t say I’m an astrology aficionado or that I think the personality traits of the signs are finite, but I would say that I believe the time of year, day or night that you were born can influence your thoughts and feelings. Also, whenever I read about my Leo personality, it sounds exactly like me and I do mean exactly. Even when it’s a toxic personality trait, I can read why and get some insights into why I might feel that way. So it’s the old question of nurture or nature. Nurture is your background and upbringing and nature would be astrology.
I choose to celebrate my birthday all season long and have a series of activities the week of the actual date. Why not? Take this time to reflect on everything you love about yourself and treat yourself with the things that you love. With a combination of doing things by myself or inviting a friend or a few friends, I always have a great time. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, but it can be. Do you. This is your special time so join your family and friends, or not, in creating fulfilling, fun and festive memories.
I’ve compiled a list of things to get your creative juices flowing and how you can incorporate this into your life. You don’t even have to be a Leo to get some inspiration.
Little Touches
Sometimes you just want a little touch of something that reminds you of your astrological sign. Whether it’s a sculpture, figurine or a small statue. Check out my collection of lions.
This is the latest lion statue. I received this for Christmas a few years back and I proudly placed it on my fireplace mantle.
I’ve had this gray soapstone lion from South Africa for many years and he gets moved around regularly.
This is my pride and joy. I got this sculpture years ago in California and it almost pushed my suitcase over the fifty pound limit.
I think I’m going to go for one of these even though I have a Ring doorbell and camera because it’s so special.
This planter is so cool.
I just love the pose on this lion. He looks like he’s been working out.
Wall Decor
If you want to make more of a statement, go for some wall decor. You can mix this in with artwork to really make your walls pop. The patina on this copper lion below is everything!
I love how this lion’s head has a lamp attached. It would be perfect in a foyer or maybe one on each side of the front door.
Artwork
Art is my thing, so I had such a good time researching what kind of Leo art was out there. I have three prints in my closet, below, but I’m looking to make more of a statement in the rest of the house.
I love this combination of the lion and a kickass statement. I could look at this all day.
Such a cutie, this might be my next print.
A classic poster for the Leo.
Leo Celebration
Since I celebrate myself all Leo Season, I thought I’d give you a few things that I’ve found to make it festive.
I would sprinkle this all over the joint, like fairy dust.
Clear balloons with LED lights? Sign me up.
Wow, I would put these all over the house.
These placemats are so different. I love them.
A neon sign is always a crowd pleaser.
Simple, but very elegant and those macarons with the gold flecks are Chef’s kiss.
I love this cake and it even has the “K” on it already. Can’t figure out what the lion is made out of though. Hmmm
This cake doesn’t even look real, does it?
Leo Fashion
Leos are all about “comfort, but make it fashion”. I’ve literally worn red satin pajamas to a Christmas party before. We like to wear drapey, but statement making clothes. Nothing tight or restrictive, so think kimonos, robes, kaftans. Like a cat, we love lounging but in a cute way. Haha
This pants set looks so comfortable and you can wear the top in several different ways. You can tuck the shirt in, do the french half tuck or wear it all the way out.
I would definitely wear this kimono set outside. The colors are stunning.
I have a special place in my heart for kaftans, long or short. When I went to St.Lucia last year for my birthday, I decided to buy a bunch of kaftans and wear them every day. I used them for bathing suit cover ups, going out to dinner and just hanging out. They are so easy to wear and the flowing material feels so nice on your skin.
I’ve never thought to do my nails for Leo Season, but these are right up my alley. Simple, but makes a point.
I’m not sure I would want the year of my birth on my nails, but the design is cute. I think you could really get creative and as fancy as you’d like. Or maybe just do your toes? Have fun.
Leo Gifts
I love giving gifts better than receiving. That’s my thing, but I love gifts that are thoughtful and unique. Here are some ideas that would make any Leo happy.
Mugs are always good, and this one with a top is a good choice for the person who always spills their drink like me. The gold spoon is the icing on the cake.
I am definitely Leo af, so this t-shirt is perfect for the Leo who feels the same way.
Who knew each sign had its own crystals?
This Leo symbol and it would look so good on a dark wall.
So how about you? Do you celebrate yourself on your birthday more than just one day? Let me know in the comments if this is you and if not, I want to know why. I hope I can inspire you to treat yourself, even if it’s just kicking everybody out of the house so you can have a staycation for a weekend or even just a few hours.
See ya next time.
