Ah, St. Patrick’s Day—the one day a year when it’s socially acceptable to drink green beer, pinch strangers, and dress like a walking shamrock. But beyond the parades, pub crawls, and questionable leprechaun costumes, St. Patrick’s Day is actually a fantastic excuse to rethink the color green in both fashion and interior design. Because let’s be honest—green is so much more than just a holiday gimmick or the shade of regret after one too many pints of Guinness.
St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was actually British (awkward) and was kidnapped by Irish raiders before eventually converting the masses to Christianity. The shamrock? Legend has it that he used it to explain the Holy Trinity, but let’s be real—he probably also just liked a good botanical moment. Fast forward a few centuries, and now we’re all wearing green to avoid getting pinched. Tradition is weird, but we roll with it.
Green is the color of life and renewal and this year it totally fits in with the Biophilic Design Style which is very popular at the moment. You should totally check out my previous posts on Biophilic Design and why it’s important right now.

Fashion
Besides being the color of life, green is also the color of money, so there’s that. In fashion, it’s a bold statement that says, “Yes, I am effortlessly stylish,” or, at the very least, “I am totally celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.” So try some green in your wardrobe, it’s magically delicious!

In interiors, green brings a sense of calm, connection to nature, and major Rich-Auntie energy. There’s a certain elegance with green that, in my opinion, can’t be replicated by any other color. But I’m certainly biased because I love it.

Because if St. Patrick could turn a whole country onto shamrocks, you can definitely commit to a chic pop of color.
