It’s that time of the year again. As we move closer to 2025, the top paint brands have released their anticipated “Colors of the Year,” setting the tone for design trends in both residential and commercial spaces. Whether you’re redecorating or staging a home, understanding the psychology of color can help you create the desired mood and impact.
Scott’s Antique Market – The Place to Go in Georgia if You’re into Vintage Like Me
Vintage shopping, thrifting, salvaging and then decorating with it is kinda my thing. I think it’s because when I was a little girl growing up in Connecticut, my parents always thrifted and salvaged old things and turned them into totally new things. Some examples...
Sweater Weather is Here and I’m Here For It
Sweater Weather is upon us and I’m so excited. Or you can call it “Sweata Weatha” as a certain person on SNL calls it. LOL Fall is the best time for fashion. You get to wear cozy sweaters, socks, coats, pajamas, etc. You get the drift. Every year I curate a list of sweaters that are must-haves and follow the trends, but as you know, trends are just suggestions.

Nail design is so much fun and I’ve already done a blog post on the Fall 2024 Nail Trends, so if you’re into nail design, please check it out. Now I’m thinking about different types of Halloween nails this year so I’ve made a list of the 31 Best Halloween Nails and it covers the standard orange & black, vampire & gothic, and weird & fun. 32 Things That Are Giving Me Life Right Now
Making a list of things that are “giving me life” is turning out to be one of my favorite things to do at the end of the month and I hope you’re enjoying them as much as I am. I’ve been doing these most of the year and I started because I see so many amazingly designed products on the internet throughout the month and I wanted to share them with you.
The 12 Best Train Rides Across America and the World
I think there’s something very glamorous about trains and from watching movies about the Orient Express I’ve always wanted to go on a major train journey myself. It harkens back to a time in the U.S. when that was the only way to get across the country in a reasonable time and it ushered in the Industrial Revolution.
The 17 Best Small Makers on Etsy
I can’t say enough about how much I love Etsy. I’ve been a customer for years and order all the time from my favorite shops for gifts, all of my fabric and items that I can’t find anywhere else. All of these shops are listed for the uniqueness of their products. There are many makers in the United States that offer a product that you can’t get anywhere else, but I tried to include a mix of both domestic and international sellers.
The 52 Best Fall Decor Ideas You’ll Love
I have been waiting for the longest summer ever to end because here in Atlanta, it was sweltering with humidity, mosquitoes and scorching sun. It just tires you out and this one was hotter than it’s been in years if you’ve been watching the news. I can feel it, can’t you? It’s Fall ya’ll and I’m digging it. The slight nip in the air, the longing for a pumpkin spice latte and the football players gearing up for a great season; it’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love Fall in all its glory.
The Best Fall Exclusives at Target from Opalhouse Jungalow, Hearth & Hand Magnolia and Threshold McGee & Co.
Target has been so good for several years now. It’s not the Target of my childhood which was much more in line with Walmart. They’ve made so many strides forward in fashion and especially in design. In pairing up with famous designers for capsule collections to carrying whole lines of products from “of the moment” tastemakers, Target has really come into its own and I can honestly say they’re in a lane all their own.
