Atlanta Holiday Home – Part 2
This is Part 2 of the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine Holiday Home. If you haven’t seen Part 1 yet, you can see it here. This house gave me so many design ideas not only for the holidays but interior design lightbulb moments.
Everywhere you looked there were trees and presents. It made for a very festive home, which was the whole point. Haha I’ve long been a proponent of not just decorating your living room for the holidays. Try decorating every single room even if it’s just a bowl of ornaments. Trust me, it’ll lift your spirits so much.
5 Holiday Bars You Should Visit This Year
Holiday Bar pop-ups always looked like so much fun but I never made time to actually go. Pop-ups are when an establishment either turns over their venue to an outside company to host a special event or the establishment hosts a special event outside of the norm. This year I made it a point to visit some recommended holiday bars and I have listed some of the highlights of my visits. I hope you will be able to go to at least one this year. You’ll thank me later.
Atlanta Holiday Home – Part 1
This is my third year in a row going to the Holiday Home sponsored by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine and it didn’t disappoint. I have to break it down into two parts because the house was huge. Located in the Chastain Park area of Atlanta, we had to park at the horse park and get shuttled over to the house. It was raining while we were waiting and even with two shuttles it took over thirty minutes to finally get to the house. I would definitely recommend taking an Uber directly to the house the next time so you don’t have to wait. Even if it wasn’t raining, which was miserable, it’s no fun waiting.
Holiday Gift Guide – Pet Ideas
That’s my dog Domi. Her full name is Daisy Domague from a character played by Jennifer Jason Leigh in the movie Hateful Eight. If you know, you know. I bet you’re wondering how I got myself in this predicament. Well, it all started with the pandemic and I was at home watching all of those sad dog commercials with the abused animals. I have always loved dogs, but I had a long commute to work (an hour) and I knew having a dog was a big responsibility. I didn’t want her to have to be at home for 9 hours plus Monday through Friday and putting her in doggy daycare never entered my mind at that point.
Holiday Gift Guide – Stocking Stuffers
Stockings are my jam, meaning I’m particularly good at coming up with great stocking stuffers. A lot of people are always stumped as to what to put in a stocking and I say anything goes really. Just try to be creative. I tend to go by a few rules if you’re interested. Number one is that of course it’s small enough to fit in a stocking. Number two is that it costs under $10 and even better if it’s under $5. And I know you’re going to say, where do you get anything under $5? There’s plenty of places, you just have to look. Of course, there are some things worth more than $10, like jewelry, but I like to keep the gifts inexpensive but thoughtful.
The Ultimate 60 – Etsy Holiday Gift Guide
Etsy is one of my favorite websites in the world. Besides having the best gifts for yourself or for friends and family, you’re supporting makers and artisans from around the world which is something that is near and dear to my heart. Anything I’ve gotten compliments on and asked “where did you get that” is almost always from Etsy. I could go on and on about them and the hundreds of thousands of items, but I wanted to give you some of my favorite gift options.
Holiday Gift Guide – 42 for the Foodie in your Life
For the foodie in your life, and everyone has one, I’ve curated a list of the best of the best. I have to say that I consider myself a serious foodie so I’ve picked gifts that I would love or already have plus gifts that I would love to receive. So if you’re stumped as to what to give them, stay tuned. I’ve broken it down into different categories and I’m sure you’ll find something that would be perfect.
Holiday Gift Guide – 30 Cozy and Warm Gifts for any Woman in Your Life
I decided to do a gift guide of warm & cozy items for women because, frankly, “pandemic wear” is still a thing to me. Marketing gurus called it “athleisure” back then and now it’s called “slow living” and encompasses your whole lifestyle. But whatever it’s called, I think it’s here to stay and every woman loves something cozy against her skin as well as making her home warm and inviting. Think multiple textures and neutral colors, but you don’t always have to follow the rules. Pops of color are welcome too.
34 Holiday Decor and Storage Ideas Plus the Purge
I decided to get my old decorations out to do a purge. I noticed last year that there were some lights that weren’t working, some decorations that were on their last leg and ornaments that were either broken or the color had faded. I’m sure you can relate. I tell myself every year that I’m going to throw some things out and replace them, but I just get so overwhelmed with the holiday to-do list that I just leave them in the bins until the next year.
Holiday Gift Guide – 32 For the Man Who has Everything
This is my second holiday gift guide of the year. The first one was for all of the holiday parties that you will be attending this season. It was for fun and unique hostess gifts. If you haven’t seen that post yet, check it out here. This one is for the man who literally has everything. It could be your significant other, your father, grandfather, brother or uncle. Any man where it gets harder and harder every year to buy for.
