The Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles 2023 Serenbe Showhouse – Part 2
I went to the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine Showhouse in the Serenbe community just South of Atlanta. As usual it was a fun trip and the countryside was gorgeous with the leaves changing. There were two townhouses this year and I wrote about the first townhouse in my previous post here.
The Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles 2023 Serenbe Showhouse – Part 1
On a gorgeous Fall day, I took my annual trip to see the Serenbe Showhouse. It’s about 45 minutes from my house and it was a nice drive in the country once I got off the highway. This year they did something a little different. Instead of a single family home, they took two side by side townhouses and enlisted the help of several interior designers to decorate each one. If you didn’t see the one last year, here’s the blog post. Since I had twice the amount of photographs, I decided to break up the post into two parts. This will be Part 1.
The 12 Best Train Rides in the World
I think there’s something very glamorous about trains and from watching movies about the Orient Express I’ve always wanted to go on a major train journey myself. It harkens back to a time in the U.S. when that was the only way to get across the country in a reasonable time and it ushered in the Industrial Revolution.
The 2024 Colors of the Year
Although color is subjective, color trend forecasters have been predicting what colors are going to be big every year since Color marketers base these colors on what’s being introduced in the areas of fashion, furniture, automobiles and other industries. Pantone started the color of the year in 1999 and every year since then it’s been the leader in predicting color trends in our global culture and how to express what people are looking for with color .
It’s Sweata Weather Again – 6 Trends to Incorporate Right Now
It’s finally Sweata Weather and it could not have come sooner for me. Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons especially when it’s cold enough to wrap up in knits. They’re so comfy cozy and like wrapping yourself in a blanket. I actually prefer to wear a sweater over an actual coat in the cold weather and if it’s a “coatigan” even better.
Halloween Decor Ideas in the Neighborhood
Skeletons, skeletons and more skeletons. That’s the theme of this Halloween it seems. I always walk my dog in the morning and I’ve been taking pictures of my neighbor’s Halloween decorations. They go up pretty early around here and it’s so much fun to see what they’ve done. Now, I don’t usually decorate for Halloween outside, but I do decorate inside with a Fall Harvest theme.
The 33 Best Fall Football Party Essentials – Get it on Amazon’s October Prime Days
One of the best things about Fall, for me, is football. I remember growing up and watching football every Sunday with my dad and brothers. I guess I was indoctrinated into the sport at an early age and grew to love it. And I especially like football when it’s outside. I have memories of sitting outside when it’s freezing with blankets and hot chocolate. I have twin brothers and a son who played football starting in Little League and went all the way up through college. I was also a cheerleader and the best times were cheering for football games on Friday nights. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience in tailgating and throwing Superbowl parties or just on any given Sunday throwing a football party.
My Trip to Asia Part 2 – Hong Kong
I really love Hong Kong and I’ve always said that it’s the New York City of the East. It’s also the perfect blend of the traditional and the modern culture. As a huge fan of Chinese cuisine, this city has the best in the world in my opinion. Shopping here is epic too. This is the best place to shop for all of the latest electronics as well as all of the Fashion Designers. The prices are lower than in the United States.
Banquette Seating is Cozy This Fall
Banquette seating in a home is one of my favorite things. It creates a cozy arrangement that not only looks good, but saves space and can be installed virtually anywhere. Not just for kitchens anymore, people are using this for dining rooms, lounges, libraries, rec rooms and anywhere you want to be able to sit down and eat, read or just have drinks.
Fall Decor Ideas You’ll Love
I have been waiting for the longest summer ever to end because here in Atlanta, it was sweltering with humidity, mosquitoes and scorching sun. It just tires you out and this one was hotter than it’s been in years if you’ve been watching the news. I can feel it, can’t you? It’s Fall ya’ll and I’m digging it. The slight nip in the air, the longing for a pumpkin spice latte and the football players gearing up for a great season; it’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love Fall in all its glory.
