Thanksgiving Nails

Fall, Lifestyle, Seasonal | 0 comments

After all of the Halloween chaos and for some reason there’s always chaos, I’m definitely entering my soft season, or at least I hope so. Between the horror films and the gorging on candy, it’s time to give thanks for all of the blessings in your life. We’re heading into the Thanksgiving season and a time for really appreciating being with your family.

Thanksgiving nails aren’t necessarily a thing, but I’ve been seeing so much inspiration that I thought I’d gather all of my favorites and show you how you can bring this holiday into your nail designs.

Food for Thought

Brown reminds me of brown sugar and pecan pie. Lean into this and paint your nails brown. I love this because there are so many shades of brown, you can totally find one that fits you, your personality and your skin tone.

These medium brown nails make me want to lick them. Not really, but you get what I mean. So good.

Pinterest

If you’re feeling jiggy, you can add some glitter to your brown.

Dark pumpkin is so yummy looking and I really like this shade.

Pinch of Glam

Again, add some glitter to your pumpkin to take it up a notch.

These are so cute with the dark flecks in the glitter.

Chrome nails are still trending so check out these pumpkin colored ones.

Now for the most controversial side dish of the night at least in my opinion. Cranberry sauce. I’m not a fan, but these cranberry nails are beautiful.

Static Nails

How about a combination of pumpkin and brown sugar and pecan pie? Sounds a little like my sweet potato soufflé recipe.

Tortoise Shell

Tortoise shell reminds me of fall because of all of the tones. Whether it’s in accessories or home décor, it always lends a sophisticated touch. So why don’t you try it on your nails. So stunning and there’s so many variations and slightly different color palettes to choose from.

If you want to just dip your toes in the water, try out this tortoise shell with one full nail and the rest with French tips. This is very demure, very mindful.

Pinterest

You can be slightly more glamorous with these clear tips and gold outlines. So unique, but still not too much.

Pinterest

With gold leaf, these minimal tortoise shell nails are on the next level.

Pinterest

Okay, here we go. A little more creative with half tortoise shell and gray tips. A touch gold is always a good idea.

Adding a touch of color really makes these stand out. This purple is so pretty.

Green goes so perfectly with these. Adds a little touch of something and since green is my favorite color, this is a win.

Pinterest

Try using other neutrals on some nails like two browns and one cream nail. Get creative and have fun with it.

Pinterest

Gorgeous lighter tortoise shell nails with dark chocolate sounds so yummy and looks very elegant.

Mother Nature

Nature just comes alive to me in the Fall. Instead of thinking that it’s the season of the plants dying, think of it as an explosion of color and a time to take a walk in the woods.

I never knew wood grain nails were a thing until I saw these and I love them. I might just take this picture to my nail technician.

Pinterest

This is more of a caricature or cartoon version of wood grain and trees, but so much fun.

Pinterest

I live in the pecan state, Georgia, and they are on the ground everywhere now. So when I saw these, I thought it was so appropriate.

Pinterest

Bark nails anyone? I never thought I’d be asking that, but if you want to be a little edgy this holiday, try these out.

Nail How

And now for the star of the season, Leaves!!!!!

I always include at least one very demure, very mindful choice for the ones who don’t want to do too much. These nude nails with a touch of bronze leaves fit the bill.

Pinterest

Go metallic and add embossed leaves. A little sparkly and festive.

Pinterest

Don’t the lines make it look like pumpkins? Add gold embossed leaves to a couple of the nails and these are perfect for the holiday.

Pinterest

Maroon nails with gold leaves. Enough said.

Pinterest

I love the addition of the cream on these nails. Still conservative, but with a little surprise.

Bored Panda

These “golden wheat” are stunning on these brown nails.

Qunex Online

On the next two sets of nails, the leaves are outlined in black and it creates such a great contrast. So artistic.

Pinterest

Love these also with a different color on each nail, plus the solid ochre nail for a fun twist.

Good and Bad People

Graphic Design

I love a good graphic and there’s plenty of inspiration out there to get really artistic and even groovy this Thanksgiving. If you can, try this yourself and design anything your heart desires.

Just a base color with a few diagonal lines, makes these very special with little to no work.

Pinterest

If you’re feeling a little ambitious, try these “stained glass” nails or take this picture with you to the nail salon.

Nail Kicks

Marbled French tips are so beautiful and you could use any colors you’d like. Love them.

Opentime Hours

Just wow. I love all of the neutral colors in these marbled nails.

Nails of the Day

Tis the season of getting the fireplace cleaned and building a crackling fire. So why not use that for inspiration on your nails. The chrome against the velvet texture is the bomb. And yes, I said the bomb. I don’t care if it’s out of style. LOL

Pinterest

Line drawing makes this so modern and the colors make it a good choice for Thanksgiving.

Elle

These swirls make me think of a cappuccino.

Nailosphere

I’m still trying to figure out how this was done. Is it a sticker or just AI? Well, anywho, I had to include these because they’re stunning.

Pinterest

I never knew there was this much inspiration for Thanksgiving nails but I’m digging it. I’m a neutral girlie or at least a girl who likes “shades” of color meaning adding black to a hue. That’s just me; a little dark and moody, Modern Organic.

Let me know what are your favorites and if you even paint your nails extra special for the holidays.

See ya next time.
