As the leaves change and the weather cools, we are all looking forward to stepping into darker and moodier tones. That goes for nails too. I love searching the net for new trends in nails and this Fall there’s some real stunners.

On another note, can you believe the press-on nails these days? I swear, back in the day Lee’s press on nails got a bad rap. We laughed at them because they would pop off every time you turned around and they looked so fake. Today, they look just like your natural nails and there are much better glues that will keep them on for 1-2 weeks. I can testify to this. But with the quality nowadays, why not change them up every week or every day. I’ve included multiple versions in press-on nails and I hope you’ll try them.

As far as aesthetics, one thing is for sure is that extra glossy, “glasslike” finishes are in for all of the trends. Whether it’s because of the viral Korean glass skin trend or people are just wanting to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to their nails, extra shiny nails are in. Matte has decidedly taken a back seat in recent months. So step aside Matte, you ain’t it right now.

Grab a cup of coffee and get into these stellar sets of digits.

Mossy Greens

Okay, this is my jam for real. Green is my favorite color and this Fall, mossy green is THE color. Fall fashion is trending and I just wrote a blog post about mossy green and how it took over the runways for F/W 2024. As a nation and beyond, we are all getting back to nature ever since the pandemic and I think this will actually outlast being a trend.

Chrome nails are trending so why not a green chrome tip?

I call this a reverse french manicure, but with mossy green.

An olive green moss color goes perfectly with everything in your Fall wardrobe.

Reminds me of a kiwi, but a lot of fun.

Mix a mossy green with brown to create a lot of movement.

Any time I go into the forest for a hike, this is what I see. Green with a touch of bronze.

This sparkly green is perfect for adding some glamour to your jeans and t-shirt combos.

Deep Reds

Reds have been trending since last Fall in fashion and interior design, but this Fall we move into deeper, moodier and sexier shades and I love it. I have a list of posts that are about red and how we (collectively) needed a break from Barbie, Red Last Fall and the Barbie Backlash and how in 2024 Red is Going to be Big. So think of every shade of dark red including, Merlot, Dark Cherry, Cabernet, Oxblood, Cranberry, Burgundy, etc….and go all in.

This dark cherry is a classic.

Strawberry jelly right?

I love a good ombre and this nude to deep red is really good.

A red ombre makes these nails special. Just think of all the variations you could do.

This reminds me of a good merlot.

This is called “Situationship” and I don’t want to know why. But the color is a gorgeous wine and I’m here for it.

Beautiful burgundy press-on nails with a gold swirl. Can we give these a standing ovation?

Gold Details

I know chrome has been trending all year, but this Fall nails are going to be going for the gold! Personally I think it’s because of the Olympics and all of the gold medals flying around. It was spectacular and I lost a lot of sleep over it. But I digress. Gold details are the thing this Fall.

This is the look I would probably go for. Short nails, nude nail bed, and a double line at the bottom. A french manicure but with a graphic, elevated touch.

Gold rings that are a little edgy, but not over the top.

Try a french manicure with a gold tip taken up the sides. I love this look so much.

Blur the gold into the nail. So elegant.

An abstract gold detailed look.

These gold stickers will allow you to make any nail design unique to you. Such a good idea.

Coffee with Cream

Brown is still the new white. See my post about my very opinionated opinion here.  I’ve been seeing brown nails all over the internet but with a twist and they just remind me of some of my favorite coffee drinks. Of course I’m going to turn them into drinks because why not?

For the girl who just likes a regular degular cup of coffee with cream. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.

Abstract coffee and cream. I think it could work on any shaped nail too.

I love these nails. It’s like espresso with a little cream.

Coffee with a dash of cream.

Coffee colors in all its glory with pumpkin cream. Apparently that’s a thing now.

A mixture of black coffee with a little cream.

You know how the iced coffee looks when they pour the cream in? This is it with a caramel swirl…

Another iced coffee look in a press-on nail. So convenient.

The Outliner

I really dig this trend for so many reasons. You can take an ordinary manicure and take it to a different level when you outline the whole nail. You can blur the lines slightly or make it crisp. You can also leave the inside a solid color or marble it, do a cat eye, etc. to make it even more special.

Two different colorways on shorter nails. This is what I would wear and I even love that green sweater in the background. Haha

This looks like you’ve been picking berries with no gloves. So cool and unusual.

Such a beautiful shade of dusty blue.

This would be so beautiful with all of your cream knits.

Here are some unusual variations of multiple colors, outlines that are interrupted and with a surprising pop of color.

Now that you’ve had your fill of beautiful nails, let me know which are your favorites and what you’ll be trying this Fall. I love them all and will probably get some press-on nails to try them out. How about you?

See ya next time.
