It’s that time of the year again when we scour the internet and the stores to find the most perfect gift for everybody on our list. Black Friday will be here before we know it and it’s always easier to be ahead of the game than behind. I strive for a peaceful and relaxing holiday season and some years are better than others, but it’s never because of gift giving. It’s one of my most favorite things to do. I like to listen to what people say all year around about what they want in general, take note of their hobbies and interests and create list based on that.
To some, picking out a gift for someone is one of the worst things in the world but I’m here to take the stress out of holiday shopping for you. Over the next few weeks, I will be sending you blog posts on every kind of gift guide to help you along. You won’t even have to think about it. From the perfect gift for a hostess, the man who has everything, a comfy and cozy guide for women, a foodie, our furry friends and so on. Stay tuned and I’m sure you’ll find one or more gift guides that resonates with you.
Candles
Now, I know what you’re going to say. Candles are boring and lame, but not so. People usually have the store bought candles in a glass or tea lights, but rarely have tapers or the holders. Everybody needs taper candles, whether they know it or not. Think about when you’re setting a table and you want multiple candles to set a mood. Enter the taper candles. I’ve compiled a list of some that would be the perfect gift for a host. I suggest going neutral so they will go with anyone’s decor.
Spiral Taper Candles – Set of 6 – $22.99
Smokeless Gradient Candles – Set of 6 – $23.99
Dripless Dinner Candles – Set of 6 – $18.99
Unscented Totem Taper Candles – Set of 2 – $17.60
Wooden Candle Stick Holder – Set of 3 – $21.99
Brass Taper Candlestick Holder – Set of 3 – $16.99

Wine Accessories
What do people usually bring to a holiday party for a host? A bottle of wine. But I’ve taken it a step further and included some accessories that you could bring instead or to complement that bottle of wine. Wine chillers and bottle openers have been designed with form and function nowadays and make it easy to fit into your stylish decor.
Wine Bottle Opener Corkscrew Set – $27.99
Wine Cooler Ice Bucket – $49.99
Marble Wine Chiller Bucket – $34.99
Champagne Anyone?
Champagne is always a good idea, I always say. I’ve long had a love affair with the bubbly and have brought a bottle of champagne to a holiday party several times. Champagne is sexy and this year, instead of the bottle you could bring the glasses or the ice bucket or even a book about bubbly. You can’t go wrong with any of these.
Modern Black and Gold Stemless Flutes – Set of 4 – $29.99
Silver Ice Bucket for Multiple Bottles – $94.99
Metal Golden Champagne Bucket – $39.99
Hand-blown Champagne Flutes – Set of 4 – $38.99
Hand-blown Champagne Flutes – Set of 2 – $45.99
Stainless Steel Champagne Glasses – Set of 6 – $49.51
Charcuterie Boards
Charcuterie boards are still trending, but I don’t think they’ve ever gone out of style. One of my favorite things to do is get a bottle of wine, some olives, salami, cheese and crackers, etc. and just go to town. My Mom calls it “grazing” and I love it. I think any host would appreciate an artisanal board to put all sorts of goodies on. The species of woods used, the shapes and the accessories have gotten more elaborate over the year and you can go as large as you want.
Mango Wood Cutting Board with Handle – $27.99
Acacia Wood Serving Boards – Set of 3 – $49.99
Olive Wood Charcuterie Board – $47.99
Acacia Wood Tray with Marble for Charcuterie – $35.05
Large Charcuterie and Cheese Board – 3 Parts – $59.90
Acacia End Grain Wood Cutting Board – $39.98
Coffee Table Books
If you want to go into a totally different direction with a hostess gift, you could get a beautiful coffee table book. People usually don’t buy them for themselves so that’s why I think they’re the perfect gift and I think every coffee table needs one. The acrylic book stands also come in clear and really make it a moment.
Ansell Adams in the National Parks – $26.49
Clear Acrylic Book Holder – $20.88
Architectural Digest at 100 – $71.99
Vanity Fair 100 Years – $55.99
Black Hollywood: Reimagining Iconic Moments – $19.99
Kitchen Towels
Now, hear me out. Kitchen towels are not only handy, but they can also be used to wrap hostess gifts with or to give in addition to another gift. Think about wrapping a towel around the candles with a pretty ribbon, including the towels with the charcuterie board, etc. There are some really artistic ones out there which I’ve included as well as the vintage looking striped linen towels.
Jacquard Tea Towels – Set of 4 – $19.99
Quick DryWatercolor Microfiber Dish Towels – Set of 2 – $32.00
Stripe Linen Kitchen Towels – Set of 2 – $21.99
Quick Dry Microfiber Art Dish Towels – Set of 2 – $32.00
Oversized Bird & Striped Dish Towels – Set of 2 – $8.99
Christmas Gifts
A good idea for a hostess gift is something they can use year after year in the Holiday theme. Every time they pull these out, they will think of you. Candles and holders are good as well as Christmas towels.
Minimal Brass Taper Candle Holders – Set of 3 – $14.99
Green Shades Taper Candles – Set of 2 – $22.95
Christmas Dish Towels – Set of 3 – $16.99
Green & White Kitchen Towels – Set of 6 – $24.49
Green Glass Candle Holders – Set of 3 – $33.00
Bordeaux Taper Candles – Set of 12 – $18.95
Olive Twisted Taper Candles – Set of 4 – $17.99
Feel free to mix and match all of these gifts to form the perfect one for your host or hostess. Gift giving need not be filled with anxiety if you think about the person and what they like. Use the wrapping or the gift bag to make it look really special.
