Here we are again at the end of the month and it’s also the end of the Summer season. I always like to wrap up the month with a list of all the things that had my mind blown. Here in these internet streets, there are so many things that are inspirational, aspirational and just plain gorgeous. I have to share because why not? No gatekeeping here.
If you’ve missed any of the previous months’ posts here they are: July, June, May. I hope you enjoy these lists as much as I like making them for you. As always, some of these are strictly eye candy and some are totally attainable.
I just wrote a two part series on the best bars since I love them and want everybody to love them as much as I do. The next two pictures are cool ways to display wine. Check out the two part series on bars here: Part 1 & Part 2. These gold 2-bottle holders are outstanding. They come six to a case so you would be able to store twelve bottles! I think these would be so cool against a dark wall.
This is really a piece of art like a sculpture. Love this so much and it’s perfect if you just have a sliver of wall space. Totally makes a statement.
I have about a million magazines that I save for ideas and to make art with. This magazine rack is a unique way to store them so why not make them look cute.
Another display for magazines or coffee table books from one of my favorite gift sites.
Can you imagine these on your cabinets? I swooned when I saw these
I love unusual candles and these are so stunning grouped together like this.
A stylish soap dish? Yes please.
How mid-century modern. Functional items that are gorgeous too are my jam. If you have to buy a trash can, why not get one that is stylish. And it’s from Zara Home, which I feel is so underrated.
Again with the simple item turned into something special. CB2 created this acrylic “Jenga” game that would look totally cool on a table.
Catchalls are my thing too. I always have one on a table just inside my front door or I would never find my keys. So when I so these marble ones, I definitely had to put these on the list.
Okay, so if you’re like me, you are looking at this and wondering how you can get it for your home. It’s one of those aspirational items from 1st Dibs, but so beautiful to look at.
I’ve been drawn to mid-century chairs and tables all my life, so this barstool is speaking to me. Imagine pulling these up to a bar. So chic.
Lighting is one of those things that often gets overlooked. There are so many options out there, so there’s no excuse to have boring lighting. Doesn’t this look like a big magnolia flower?
Handmade copper tiles from Etsy. Enough said.
I guess I’m late to the show, but I just discovered jewelry maker Lisa Linhardt. She was voted America’s Greenest Jeweler which means she crafts with certified recycled metals. She also works only with responsibly sourced gemstones. That just adds to my love for her. In 2017 she produced this killer line of sculptural jewelry made out of scrap metal for Nicholas K the fashion designer. These are so good, I would wear all of them at once.

On to the utilitarian. If you have tools spread out all over your house in closets and in the outside shed like me, don’t feel guilty. Just get a cool tool cart like this.
Another storage cart but for crafts, office supplies, etc.
This retro cooler comes in 5 colors and will hold 2 bottles of champagne. Champagne is always a good idea and it’s perfect for a Fall picnic.
Another month down and we’re skidding into Fall. This year is going by so fast and before you know it, the holidays will be here. Let me know if you’ve seen any of these and what you think. I’m always looking for new and exciting things so if you have recommendations, please please please let me know.
See ya next time.
